The Bolshoi Live at Coventry Polytechnic - 10/22/1987

In October 1987 The Bolshoi went out on the official tour to support the release of the "Lindy's Party" album. On the 22nd the band found itself in Coventry (where, interestingly enough, the band played a year ago to the day) playing to a somewhat supportive crowd.

The show below is not complete, as undoubtedly the band continued to play after the interrupted "Crack in Smile." Most of the tracks up to that point are from "Lindy's Party," while crowd favorite "Sunday Morning" does make an appearance. Also, it should be noted that the recording starts partially into the first track.

This is the second recording from this tour, the first being from the Oct. 17th show at Portsmouth Poly. The set list is almost identical through "Crack in Smile" with the exception of the track "Swings and Roundabouts" not being played (and the "Intro" cut off). Judging from that show, which was also incomplete, there were probably four songs left to play: "Looking For a Life...," "Please," "Barrowlands" and "A Way." Maybe more.

The overall sound quality of this very good though there are some minor pops and cracks. I am not sure of the original source material for the recording, though it was on cassette when I received it.
